Women who grow up with an absent dad may describe the conditions of the departure of the absent father as by death, divorce military duty, excessive travel, desertion, suicide, or even imprisonment.  So, these women and a lot of this behavior begins as early as age 10 or 12, search outside of themselves for answers.  They are out of touch with their own feelings, and have great difficulty identifying and understanding love.  No loving male has ever told them that they are special in their own right and that they are capable of being and doing just about anything.  They simply live with an empty space inside that constantly needs and longs to be filled. 

Most people, men and women, who cheat say that they just are not getting something at home and no matter how hard they try the other person in their life just does not seem to get it. Perhaps the person who becomes sexless in the relationship should be the one who ends it. Sex is a pretty huge part of marriage or relationship for most people, and if one person either never was interested or becomes disinterested; perhaps he or she should suggest other options for the other party.

Some say that people who have affairs and make up excuses for doing so, are only doing so to justify their own character flaws. Who are we to decide the morals of another? Are some people just “serial cheaters?”

Are we as human beings really meant to be with one person for the rest of our lives?

Ok, so my curiosity got the best of me and I decided to put on my research hat and do a little research project.  I decided a couple of weeks ago to post a profile on one of the “looking to have an affair type sites.”  The reaction I got was more than amazing.  The person I described in the profile I completed was nothing like me.  I even put a profile photo up, because these responders want to know what you look like.  The photo is not of me, but a photo that is definitely female but none of the features of face could be detected. 

            Within 24 hours, I had received more than 200 views of my profile and had 147 actual messages of men who wanted to get to know me. After one week, my profile views were up to over 600 and messages coming 15 to 20 per day.  By the way, I said I was single.  Almost all of the men on the site I was on report that they are married and have no intention of leaving their wives or families.  They indicate that they just want a short or long term affair with another woman with no strings attached (NSA).  All of the married men demand discretion and express that they do not want someone who is possessive or needy. 

            The ages of the men who responded to my post, ranged from 24 to 68.  Some even will let you see pictures of their genitals.  Completely erect of course.  I never dreamed so many men were exhibitionists.   They are looking for all kinds of relationships involving sex.  Some/many even suggested that they would be fine with one night stands.  One man even suggested that he would like me to meet with him and his girlfriend for a possible threesome.  He said we could meet for dinner and then see what happens…

            Another part I found interesting was a chart on the profile pages that allows people who have actually experienced someone on the site to “rate” that person.  I saw profiles of men who had profiles where they had been rated by up to 7 or 8 women.  The ratings include titles like salacious, keeps promises, better in person, etc. 

            Probably the most interesting one I noticed is a man who describes himself as married for a long time.  He says he’s 54, but I happen to know that a lot of these folks lie about their ages because they say they don’t get action if they tell up front their real age.  Anyway, this guy after a couple of messages back and forth with me told me that he had booked a room at a local hotel for a particular night.  I wrote back and asked him where his wife would be, but he never answered that question.  He probably thinks that I forgot I asked that question.  Nope!   Ok, so I am going to be a bad girl and tell him that I will meet him there.  I have no intention of meeting him or seeing him at any time.  I hope he enjoys his night out alone.  Or perhaps he can pick up a woman in the hotel.

Infidelity isn’t something people like to talk about — much less confess. Does anyone really want to admit to being a cheating partner, especially to a pollster. But the following poll results might help put in perspective the frequency and number of adulterers.

•22 percent of married men have strayed at least once during their married lives.
•14 percent of married women have had affairs at least once during their married lives.
•Younger people are more likely candidates; in fact, younger women are as likely as younger men to be unfaithful.
•70 percent of married women and 54 percent of married men did not know of their spouses’ extramarital activity.
•2–3% of persons identify themselves as homosexual. Homosexuals have become much more widely accepted, and openly show gay pride.
•Women demonstrated a 28 percent likelihood of continuing to date a boyfriend who has had a heterosexual affair and a 21 percent likelihood of staying with someone who has had a homosexual affair. •5 percent of married men and 3 percent of married women reported having sex with someone other than their spouse in 1997. Nearly 15 years later, this figure is expected to be doubled or tripled.
•22 percent of men and 14 percent of women admitted to having sexual relations outside their marriage sometime in their past.
•90 percent of Americans believe adultery is morally wrong.
•50 percent of Americans say President Clinton’s adultery makes his moral standard “about the same as the average married man,” according to a Time-CNN poll.
•61 percent of Americans thought adultery should not be a crime in the United states; 35 percent thought it should; 4 percent had no opinion.

Newsweek magazine has exposed a well-kept secret—the sex lives of American wives. What they’ve discovered is startling. An estimated 15 percent of women cheat on their husbands. Thus debunking the myth that the men are engaging in all of the extramarital activities.

Later that evening, while alone in her hotel room she receives a text which simply says: “I am interested, when?” They make arrangements to meet that night and she actually allows herself to have a full sexual encounter with this stranger. She’s not concerned with whether or not she sees him again. She just loved the experience of being with him in the moment and knowing that she was pleasing him.
